Chesapeake Challenge Circuit Points Determination

Notes:

Everyone fencing in an event receives points.
The sum of the points from the 3 events is the total.
Tie resolution: if there is a tie for 1st place:
- The tied fencer with the single highest point result wins.
- If that is equal, the second highest result is compared, and so on, through the 3rd event.
- If the 3 point awards are all equal, the place of the finish is compared for the best through 3rd event.
- If the tie still remains, it is an official tie.

Women:

If there are separate Men's and Women's events, women are awarded points for their place in the women's event.
If there is only a Mixed event and no separate Women's, women are awarded points for their place in the mixed event.
If there is a Mixed and a Women's event:
- If a woman fences just one event, either the mixed or the women's, she earns points for that event.
- If a woman fences both events, she is awarded the higher of earned points from the two events based on her two results.

Points at an event that awards an A for 1st place are awarded according to this table (places 1-32 are the same as the USFA non-repechage Div-I points table). B events award 75% that number of points, C events award 50%, D, E and U events award 25%.
