Details:

  • The referee workshop is run by Ian Serotkin and Andrew Crowder.
  • The foil event is run by the Virginia Division, and officiated by developing referees under Ian and Andrew's supervision.
  • The times listed for each event are the close of registration. Fencers arriving after that time may not be allowed to enter. The bout committee has sole discretion to allow late entries, and in all cases an additional $5 late registration fee will be charged.
  • The format is a round of pools, 6 or 7 fencers in each pool, followed by DEs. Either 100% or 80% will advance to DEs depending on total size of each event and at the bout committee's determination. In general, events larger than 60 people will have a cut, and smaller events will not.
  • All events are fenced electric with the latest USFA adopted timings, and each fencer must have at least two working body cords and weapons with them at the strip.
  • Fencers must have all protective gear to compete. Knickers are required, sweatpants and jeans are not permitted.
  • Due to USFA restrictions, fencers must be born in 1993 or earlier to be eligible to compete.
  • In the unlikely event of natural disaster or impassable weather, visit the Online Forum or send mail or call any member of the Executive Committee for the latest information on event postponement or cancellation.
  • This web page and the 7 officers of the division are the only official sources of information for this tournament. If the information from two or more sources conflicts, call or email the division chairman. If you get your information from any other source (like a teammate or a club newsletter), you risk being misinformed.
  • Some additional things to remember.

Points Awarded:
