The 2007 Commonwealth Games are on July 21-22 at Hollins University
in Roanoke, VA.
If you would like to start receiving the Athlete Information
Booklet which contains the entry forms, call Virginia Amateur
Sports (540-343-0987) to request one.
The following people may compete in the Commonwealth Games:
- Residents of Virginia for 30 days prior to the first day of
competition.
- Students enrolled at a Virginia academic institution.
- US Military personnel or family members stationed at a base in
Virginia.
Exceptions: Persons residing in adjacent states who belong to a
club based in Virginia which regularly competes in Virginia, and
whose home state either does not have a state games, or does not
sponsor the sport in question -OR- Persons who are employed full
time in Virginia.
In addition to the Virginia residency requirement outlined above, fencers
must be USFA members. Non-Virginia residents may compete if they are a
registered member of the Virginia Division of the USFA.

Online Registration: Click online registration to register on the
internet. You will be required to enter your credit card information
for online registration.
Mail-In Registration: Click mail-in registration to download a
printable entry form. This is the official entry form that needs
to be used if you wish to mail in your form instead of registering
online.
On-site registration is available, July 21, 9:30am.
Teams are organized by the bout committee prior to the beginning
of the competition. Epee/Sabre teams are 2 person teams, one in
each weapon. Foil teams are standard teams of 3.

Awards
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three
individuals and teams in each event.
Events
Teams for Saturday's events will be organized by the bout committee
prior to the beginning of the competition. Foil teams will be standard teams
of 3 fencers. Epee and Sabre teams will be a standard 3 person teams if
turnout permits or combined Epee/Sabre teams if necessary. The U-19 mixed
foil will be fenced at the conclusion of the team foil event. Sunday's
individual events will be in standard USFA formats. The one touch epee will
be fenced at the conclusion of all other individual events. The times listed
above are for the close of registration. Fencing will begin as soon after
the close of registration as possible. Write the event code of the
individual/team event that you want to enter in the space provided on the
registration blank. On part 2 of that line, write your USFA Classification
(i.e. C01, D02) for the weapon that you entered on that line. If you wish to
enter in either or both of the optional events, please write them on the
extra lines provided.
